almost finished up the quack quack hex box . i used this goofy pcb from rat shack , then i got distracted , cut half of the circuit in staggered off by one , realized it at the end , recut it , and it didn't function very well . half of it did , but . i'm just gonna do another different board tomorrow .
do ya think its too plain ?
what should i add , lime green extreme paint splatters , hexagon , a duck ? the circle thingies with the darker paint around them are light sensors . each one has its own "voice" (square wave) so with 6 it should make a quite the racket . i had it breadboarded and it sounded really cool and chaotic , depending on how you operate it .
character , thats when shit is crooked .
the connector and switch were salvaged , gomti did have to hit rat shack , i had a normally closed momentary contact switch from them that broke . they are really junky , those switches . but i was thrilled to see they re-designed them , but the threads are still super weak .
i forget were i got that speaker cloth , its old though . the thing on the bottom right is a kiddie mp3 amp circuit , got it for 95 cents at salvation army . the pot just to the left was salvaged but it turned out to be a jiggle box . oh well , i ordered 36 @ 50 cents a piece they aren't bad . but i was used to paying 2 /3 bucks . thats what kills the budget , pots and switches , unless you order em .
after i finish this i am finishing my first fuzz box , it sounds seriously rad , but i still need to tweak it . its got TOO much right now , it needs to be tamed a lil . i am going to be doing 5 different pedals , should take a while , they are all goofy circuits too .
the finished product is just the garbage left over from doing the work.
