so all these other fine suitors here know where things stand

finished "the cambridge" , this mini echo amp (ten watt) , with a battery powered option . the sound is way better than i had imagined , but i did experiment with a few different "front ends" (preamps) for it . its clean / dist. and it screams for its size , 10 watts with a jfet pre , then lm386 boost so ....

build highlights include , triple checking all parts first , then ending up with the wrong transistor . it was the only one i didnt check , ( cause it was handed to me) . this lead to a 90 minute profanity / troubleshooting session . turned out my work was good though . this happened earlier on this project with 2 sets of mislabeled resistors .

i have 4 more of the echo boards so , i wanted to really get it right on the "design" . i cant wait to move on (one more preamp in a pedal then some vids to shoot) to this octave fuzz . this cambridge thing took way too f&*%$g long , but i was in a funk this last week .

the volvo got wrecked , i really tore my back up , then i started drinkin too much . oh well , starting to feel a lil btter .

7 hours to repair the dc input jack on a lap top .

Steel Panther were superb fun this evening as support to Alter Bridge and totally worth reluctantly dragging myself out of a cosier-than-thou power nap for. What a shame Alter Bridge was not Tenacious D, and that half the audience agreed by way of their feet after SP were done.

Got persistently hit on by a boy less than half my age at the gig. Okay so he was shitfaced, but I was nevertheless flattered in a sickly, bloody-minded kind of a way and he was actually a very sweet lad. And no, I didn't as it was a schoolnight and I lacked the comparable, required shitfacedness for ruining a boy who would have simply shrieked in horror and called the cops in the morning - had he survived thus far.
