Went and saw Push. It wasn't too bad. I wasn't bored watching it and it was entertaining it. You'll enjoy it a lot more if you go to have fun instead of trying to analyze it, it has its plot holes. The main girl, Kira, I couldn't pass her eyebrows. Sharpie brows. Dakota Fanning should skip 13-17 and just go straight to 18.

Walk Hard has its moments, but too much slapstick IMO. That shit should have died with Lloyd Bridges.

langella's voice was pretty exaggerated at times, but he was still A+

If it halfway stands up to Nixon, I'll get around to it.

I enjoyed it, even though part of the fun was waiting for what you knew was going to happen.

really liked 'gran turino'

cons - the acting from most of the hmongs wasn't so great
the 'he's a racist crotchety old man!' stuff in the first half was almost over the top

pros - eastwood
the barber shop scenes, which really made me miss my landscaping job

Not so good

VERY not so good. Totally changed the emphasis of a lot of things, missed others and changed the ending.

Saw it yesterday and it gave me what I needed. Didn't really have any complaints. I was glad there were no Korea flashbacks or other such cheesy devices.

Put on "Elmo in Grouchland" yesterday with my 2-year old. We turned it off after about 10 minutes because "Elmo sad" and the grouches were "too noisy." Two midget thumbs down.

I have not seen any of the Oscar nominated films. Oscar noms tend to be Kryptonite to me...
