I saw it. I don't know, seemed funny, I laughed a lot, but I was very stoned...

Yeah Superbad surprised me, I really enjoyed most of it, but The Hangover should have been better. They neither understated nor exaggerated the humour, so it just felt like an uncomfortable anecdote. And the use of real celebrities felt forced.

Not laugh out loud funny, until the pics at the end. Which reminded me of nights oot I've had.

the hangover

way better than i had anticipated , it took the high road , didnt rely on T and A . just whackey zaney guy comedy . a little bit gay at for my tastes at some parts , but i got a kick out of most of it . zack galiphinaoquisusis was great as the token stooge of the film . that seems to be a newer genre of comedy , the bromance . fans of superbad , tim and eric , pineapple express would dig it .it just made me respect the writing and direction quite a bit more cause from the title i figured it would be not very funny and rely on alot of sex to carry it . so it might be a lil over the head of the average BF chronic poster .

a friend from school gave me a copy of zack and miri make a porno i was interested solely for seth rogen but even his comedy cant save a kevin smith movie where saying "fuck" and generally swearing out every sentence is considered comedy, apart from Clerks 1 kevin smith sucks hairy balls covered in shit.

The Hangover was okay. Ive seen better dickflicks. But I agree with Mr John that the use of Mike Tyson as himself felt somewhat forced. But then again, that is often the case when youre using real celebs as themselves. Anyone remeber Bruce Willis as Bruce Willis in Oceans Twelve? Oh god, that sucked! And then Julia Roberts character pretends to be Julia Roberts? Holy fuck, what a bummer!

Back to The Hangover. It was ok.

Saw some movie called the gathering with Christina Ricci last night. I never realized what truly horrendous actress she is.

I saw Transformers 2 today.

I know, I know, my movie taste has been real sci-fi popcorn fodder lately, but like Terminator Salvation, it was big dumb fun. If you like explosions and action, it's a good one.

Who?

Yes, the giant robot fighting is very cool.
However, it still has that "what am I seeing here?" element. And the CGI sticks out too brightly at some points.

Also, moron robot charactors or barely glimpsed ones. Put it this way, the ones you'll want to see/be fleshed out get minor cameos, while the "token comedy black" ones are in your face A LOT.

Funnily enough, when I watched this last night, there were some even more horrendous previews, i.e. I Love You, Beth Cooper. I lol'd a lot at The Hangover.
