Having said that, I need to actually finish watching Mulholland Dr., see Blue Velvet and The Elephant Man, and rewatch Dune.
Dont bother with Dune. Its a waste of time. I like Mulholland Dr, Blue Velvet and The Elephant Man better than Eraserhead.

I remember Dune being awesome.
I went to the cinema to see it WHEN IT WAS RELEASED.
I even bought the comic book movie adaptation after the movie.
I wish I still had it. It must be worth, like, $4.25 now.

Dune is a piece of crap. But don't forget Lost Highway.

Man, you are old!
Maybe I would have liked it better if I had any relation to the book or whatever.

I'm probably gonna have to be a Tool and reiterate toby's statements. So 'quote' in sentiment, if not action.

Turns out it's worth about $10 now, and it was drawn by Bill Sienkiewicz, which of course makes me want to buy it again.
Interesting thing that I didn't know: Lynch turned down Return of the Jedi in favour of Dune.

The most used David Lynch trivia, right there...

I nagged and nagged and nagged my dad to rent Dune when I was a nipper. He finally bowed and hired it for me, only for me to fall asleep five minutes in. I then lied and told my dad it was really really good. I;ve never actually seen the film, but the official line is that "I like it".

When I was a kid, I really liked Universal Soldier. What is my official line on that film today?

I've watched too many Van Damme films in my time.
They've all been shit, except for Bloodsport.

Dammit, how should I do that? Allright, Ill tell you the story:
Van Damme who is a robot, has a friend. He is also a robot. Lets call him x2zz. x2zz's brother dies while Van Damme tries to save him. x2zz blames Van Damme for his brother's death. x2zz becomes evil. He kill people for fun. His main enemy is Van Damme. They fight. Van Damme almost lose, but ends up winning.
Happy birthday!

I finally got around to see INLAND EMPIRE yesterday. I liked it, but it's not my favourite Lynch film that's for sure.
It's a bit boring at times, lacks the typical Lynch humour, and has too many layers to my liking. I think this goes for all Lynch movies, but IE especially seems to be the kind of film one needs to see several times before grasping it. Either that, or I'm just stupid.

You are not stupid. Here is what Lynch himself said:
If you just make it up scene by scene, how can the movie have a coherent plot?

Watching movies is a waste of time.

Depends on the book you read.

I like fragmented art, at least in literature, but I'm not used to it with Lynch, at least not to such an extent. I definitly need to see IE a couple of times more.
