in my epic 12-hour sleep last night, I don't remember how but a Helmet album figured in prominently. I think it was "Meantime"

I've given it a few spins now, and I'm ready to render my verdict: this is Helmet's worst album in pretty much every way. I had high hopes even after seeing the dog-shit ugly album cover, but the music isn't much better.

Werd. Those are my three favorite Helmet records... and probably in that order (though I'd be tempted to give Meantime the 3rd slot). I know a lot of people bag on Size Matters, but I dig it.
Unsung isn't even the best track on Meantime. That would be Ironhead.

Well, this is certainly better than Monochrome. Kinda digging the chill vibe. LA Water sounds like STP. I like the trippy instrumental too. Not too sure about the formulaic shouty stuff tho.

Saw Helmet tonight, and pretty much for the most part: ewww.
Ironically the old stuff sounded best. The new stuff was simply...ugh. And they didn't even play LA Water. What you put that out for radio but you won't play it live?
All in all this show made no sense.
