Kraftwerk could be fun too.

Perhaps even Gogol....

But oh so delicious. Nothing like playing in front of a crowd of know-nothing ignorant twats who are automatically averse to the unfamiliar. Imagine the boos! It will be like when Bungle played Sno-core in Myrtle Beach to all those southern metalheads. Chaos, and Dick Suck 101!

How is that even close to a good time? The fnm fans get to stand there with retarded smug grins thinking they're better because they "get it", yippy

Why do people get such pleasure out of people hating patton's music? Give me fnm in a stadium where everyone loves them any day.

Oh I never said it would be a good time for the fans, but I'm sure the band (or at least Patton) will get a kick out of it =D

meh. it's probably gonna suck. 2 times.

patton's relevance to the music scene dissipated a looooooooong time ago. wish that wasn't the case. but you all know it is.

fnm's relevance to the music scene will be likened to most old-school reunion tours. in fact, it may leave the lot of you with the sour taste of fail in your mouths and memories.

Cool stuff, have it bookmarked, but how do we know it's really him?

Also, am I the only one here who's reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllly curious about how Patton's justifying this? I wonder if Mr. Shifty Businessman did end up coming knocking at his mountain retreat with TWO (count 'em) briefcases full of dough. He'd probably say something along the lines of "hey, tough economic times, remember" when asked. Hrm.

Why should he justify this when considering pap like Peeping Tom? I don't feel this compromises Patton's integrity any more than Peeping Tom did.

I'm getting less indifferent about this. I'll definitely look at YouTube footage out of curiousity. It's like hearing about someone from school, for me.

Very good line up too. I know Nick Cave gets a lot of good press around here. I'm indifferent....but still pretty good. Much better than Donnington.
Indifferent is fairly rare (If you know the name at all) I love Cave, but always enjoy an intelligent opinion on why he and his band are shit.
I’m sitting on the plane, rather immaturely revelling in the free beer, and glancing across the aisle at the epitome, the epicentre, the quintessence of all grooviness: Nick Cave.
Nick Cave is so groovy. We’ll never be that groovy. Nick Cave has more grooviness in his belly button lint than in TISM’s entire career. He, of course, claims to not give a damn about grooviness. But while you can take the boy out of Wangaratta, you’ll never take the “Berlin” out of the boy. Right now, as Nick nods off in his seat (you know you’re groovy when everyone assumes it’s the drugs, not an afternoon nap), I’m fighting the urge to shave off one of his eyebrows, footy-trip style.
But no, I don’t. After an uneventful flight where I also manage not to immerse Nick’s dangling fingers in a bucket of water to see what happens elsewhere on his person, we arrive in Auckland, and snigger as we waltz through customs with the un-groovy half of the plane - while Nick and his Bad Seeds (who, on the customs form section marked “occupation” probably wrote “not adhering to bourgeois societal norms”) are now being herded through the special door marked “anal search.”
You know you’re groovy when you get delayed in customs. ~ Humphry B. Flaubert
