The first one was just fine. Clever and stylish. You dont nessesarily need guns in a crime movie, and Oceans Eleven proves that. The gentleman thief theme works best without violence. Thumbs up.
The second one was poor. I dont even recall there being a robbery. And Bruce Willis as himself, and all that shit with Julia Roberts' character pretending to be Julia Roberts? Come on! I hate it when they do shit like that. I remember in Arizona Dream, when Vincent Gallo talks to Johnny Depps character about Johnny Depp. The movie became unwatchable after that.
Oh and Catherine Zeta-Jones will never be a good femme fatale. She's a cunt.
In the third one theyre back in Las Vegas, and thats a good thing. That whole Amsterdam/Europe thing in the second one didnt do it for me. Let Jason Bourne and James Bond have Europe.
The third one is slightly better than the second, but Al Pacino doesnt bring anything to it.
Also; Oprah Winfrey scene was lame. Youll agree with me when you see it.

It's very good (the original). I thought the Ocean;s films were good and I also felt that 12 was weaker than 13 and 11 with 11 being the stronger, however I think Michael Caine was right when he said that only remakes of poor films ever really work.
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels being case in point.

Everything with Steve Martin should be named something with rotten or dirty.

I love it. Just skip the part where Sammy sings.

maybe that's what messed the first one up for me. He sang for 30 minutes. We get it. Being a trashman rocks.

The parts when Dean sang were tight, though.
