I've heard that one's weak. I really dug White Noise, Libra, and Underworld. Of course, after reading Underworld, a lot of his clever bits are all old-news.Mobiesque";p="957446 wrote:I really dug White Noise.
I've had two failed attempts and Falling Man now. I get to a certain point and get bored to tears.

Just obtained a full and revised edition of Dying to Win: The Strategic Logic of Suicide Terrorism by Pape. I've already read a lot of this but had to take the book back and I had the original version of the book which only contained data up until 2003, this one is up to 2006 which covers some incredibly important developments in the war on terror.
Excellent thus far.

Rick, Pm me your address and I'll get the bitch to mail it...some time in the next three years probably.
I wonder if it would be cheaper to mail it from France next month?
I took it out from the library and read selected portions and found it to be compelling so I bought it. Finished it today. The Strategic Logic of Suicide Terrorism by Pape. Cracking stuff. Also read No Country for Old Men last week and loved it. Read Tropic of Capricorn again this week. Great book. I need to read me a new good book. I'm ready for something like Catch 22 but different. Similar only in its greatness.
